Thank you so much for your interest in my business. If I have never met you before, or even if I have and you are just curious, I would like to take the time to introduce myself and tell you a little bit about me. I am the daughter of Barbara and Earl Tharp and I have one younger brother named Bryan. I am the wife of Scott McDonald and mother to Mallory Grace McDonald. Scott and I have been married since February 2002. He is a Detective with The City of Hoover and prior to working for Hoover he was a Police Officer with The City of Irondale. We currently live in Hoover and I was raised in Trussville, AL, graduating from Hewitt Trussville. Go Huskies! After graduating High School, I attended Jefferson State Junior College with a full musical scholarship singing with the Jeff-State singers. I then began working at United Healthcare and taking night courses at UAB majoring in Health Systems Management. I was quickly promoted at United Healthcare and ended up working there for 5 years. After that I moved on to other local insurance companies with my last and final health care association with HealthSouth. I had always had a strong desire to be in the sales field and could no longer stand working behind a desk. I had some brief inside sales experience with a local health and wellness company and began to apply at various companies. I landed a job at YellowBook USA and I was hooked. Sales was definitely for me! While employed with YellowBook I began taking Real Estate courses. You see, I knew I had a deep interest in Real Estate. My father is Vice-President over new construction lending at a local banking institution, and has always been “in the business”. I never wanted to be on the financial side, because if you know me or get to know me… math and I are not friends. Anyway, I quickly completed my Real Estate courses and passed my exams. I began selling Real Estate on the weekends and working at YellowBook during the week. With YellowBook I was a commuter. I lived in Montgomery during the week and came home on the weekends. This was not an easy lifestyle, but I loved my job. In April 2004, my husband and I found out we were expecting our first child. It quickly became evident that it was time for me to come home and totally focus on my Real Estate career.
In a very competitive industry it is hard to get established and stand out from all the others. When I began my business I really began to think of all of the ways I could serve my customer to make their home buying or selling experience a very enjoyable one. As a buyer or seller I want you to know that I am committed to your needs. I desire nothing more than to see that smile on your face when we find you that “dream home” or to see the excitement when I bring you a full price offer! Since buying home is the biggest investment you will ever make, not only will I assist you in locating a beautiful home that suits all your needs, but also I will help you decide whether or not this is a wise investment. When you get ready to sell your home, I will help you get your home ready to sell and for the best price possible. I will come to your home and we will go through each and every room and I will offer out suggestions that will help your home sell fast and for top dollar! I think it is very important that our working relationship is a partnership. Through this partnership I commit myself to offer you knowledge of the industry, trust, loyalty, fairness, dependability, honesty & fairness. It is important to me that our relationship is based upon these principles and together we can make this experience fun & rewarding.
